These pieces were composed during the civil war, which, unfortunately, the region is still experiencing. Specifically, these melodies artistically present the crises that Hadramout went through. Furthermore, these musical pieces are performed by a symphony orchestra, and with the participation of traditional musicians from Hadramout. Through this project, the Hadrami music joined the world of the musical orchestra for the very first time, and a big leap for our diverse musical heritage to be recognized internationally.
